About

25 THINGS YOU PROBABLY DIDN’T (EVEN WANT TO) KNOW ABOUT ME PLUS THE ONE THING YOU DO*

I was born and grew up on the east coast, New England for the majority.

I lived in Texas for five years before making my way to California.

Even though both my parents are Swedish, they did not teach me the language.

I’m wearing my boyfriend’s glasses in the pictures above but I have perfect vision.

On that note, I have desperately wanted glasses all my life and would purposely flunk eye exams in elementary school with the hope I would be given specs. This did not work.

I am scared of driving so I try to take the subway whenever I can.

I’m also really scared of escalators so I will opt for the stairs/elevator when available.

I am 5’10” but I don’t feel particularly tall until I see myself in pictures alongside normal people. Then I feel like Godzilla.

I love buying makeup, have a ton of it but actually wear very little.

Sometimes, I like to draw.

Sometimes, I like to sew.

Sometimes, I like to write.

Most times, I like to stretch out on the couch and watch tv/play video games.

I went to CalArts and studied character animation but did not finish because art school is mad expensive, yo.

I don’t really remember what my natural hair color is. Dark blonde? Maybe. I think.

My eyes are more grey than blue.

I love seeing movies in the theater on opening night.

I cried at the end of Final Fantasy X. Yes, that’s a video game.

Every time I go to the hairdresser, my stylist makes me read a note I wrote to myself reminding me that I shouldn’t cut my hair short or get bangs, no matter how good an idea I think it is at the time.

I’m very gullible. If you end your statement with ‘..for real’, I will believe it.

I do UX design for a television network. I like it. It’s neat!

I broke both my legs skiing but not at the same time.

I used to sleep in very late but now I naturally wake up between 6:30/7a every day. I find this weird and somewhat disconcerting.

I am notorious for my typing errors and they are a constant source of entertainment for my friends.

Cake is pretty much the best thing on the planet. I cannot say this enough: CAKE IS PRETTY MUCH THE BEST THING ON THE PLANET.

and last but not least, the one thing you probably give two figs about: my name is Nina Edlund!

* This list was originally composed of 25 things that you probably didn’t even want to know about me. However, it was pointed out that despite this flurry of useless information, I failed to mentioned my name even once and that was silly since I post art here. Therefore, this became 26 things you probably didn’t even want to know about me. Or, really, 25 things you probably didn’t even want to know about me and one thing that you do. Taa-daa!

I just happened to find your page…. and I LOVE IT.
… agree CAKE IS PRETTY MUCH THE BEST THING ON THE PLANET.

Greetings from a dane living in Belgium ;)

    • Yay! I am glad that you love it!

And I am also glad that we agree on the cake issue. I have to seriously question the sanity of anyone who is anti-cake. What a sad, tortured, miserable world they must live in! I wonder if something happened to them when they were young to explain their cake-hate. Were they attacked by a slice of Black-Forest? Was there an unfortunate frosting incident? These are the things that keep me up at night.

  2. It hurts how wrong you are about cake.

  3. Oh good gourd I am hard core digging (shit, I’m pretty sure I made some sort of porn reference there) pret-ty much EVERYTHING you are posting. Thanks for giving me yet another website to peruse (read: divert my attention from The Face Book), but hell at least maybe I’ll learn something.
    Keep it up.
And stop making me love cupcakes. I refuse.

  7. Hi, My name is Samantha and I was wondering if I could get your permission to use one of your photos on a poster I am making. I am making this poster for my college English class and it is for a body support group I am thinking of putting together. I would love to use your picture that says that all women are beautiful, it really helps bring my message across and would really tie things all together! Let me know please:).

    I should copy this.
Also, my nickname from college was/is “Cake,” so I approve your final tidbit. For real.
